OU defeats OSU in front of record crowd

Attendance records and OSU’s hopes for a Bedlam sweep were broken on Friday evening.

Cowgirl Stadium was filled with 1,602 fans as the Sooners stomped the Cowgirls in an 8-3 win. This beats the previous record by more than 200 people. This makes what could be the last Bedlam series the highest attended in Stillwater.

OSU coach Kenny Gajewski said the Cowgirls gave the Sooners’ offense too many opportunities.

“I don't can't remember a game that we pitched like that in a long time here,” Gajewski said. “It’s unfortunate that it happens tonight in front of a huge crowd with an opportunity to do some great things.
