Kolby Harvell-Peel ran across the field, high-pointed the football and made the catch.
Harvell-Peel isn’t a wide receiver, but he certainly looked like one when he intercepted Iowa State quarterback Brock Purdy’s pass in a momentum-shifting play.
But he wouldn’t have been able to make the play without Tanner McCalister’s tight coverage on the receiver. Without McCalister, Darren Wilson Jr. would’ve streaked into the end zone and tied the game for the Cyclones.
Then in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter, Tre Sterling recovered from a push to deflect a pass on the most crucial third down of the game.
