OSU's Mike Gundy has plan for return of football. 'Is it 100 percent? No, it’s not 100 percent.'

STILLWATER — Mike Gundy has May 1 on his mind.

Oklahoma State’s football coach has that as the goal date to begin returning to normal football life during the coronavirus impact.

He hopes football staff members can be tested and return to work that day, with the players not far behind with testing and a return.

“How fast that can happen based on the tests that are available, I can’t say right now,” Gundy said during a teleconference Tuesday morning. “But that’s the plan.

“We have to have a plan, and the plan right now is for that to start on May 1.
