Freshman big Kalib Boone ran the floor after a defensive stop and got rewarded.
Boone rose up and caught a lob from Isaac Likekele, slamming it home and letting out a roar. Gallagher-Iba Arena was brought to life, with Boone motioning his arms above his head to egg on the crowd.
But the Oklahoma State men’s basketball team’s run halted there.
Despite an improved offensive showing, the Cowboys didn’t make enough stops down the stretch to earn their first conference win, losing 76-64 to Texas on Wednesday night.
OSU never led in the game. Although they made huge dents into the Longhorns’ lead a number of times, Texas always capitalized on a defensive breakdown to keep its opponent away.
