OSU's Holliday patient with post-draft process, excited for 2019

STILLWATER — With the Oklahoma State baseball team's season having just finished, coach Josh Holliday figures he'll have a clearer picture of next year's Cowboys by the end of the weekend.

That's because the status of three key members of OSU's 2018 squad are in limbo. Sophomore Jonathan Heasley and juniors Carson Teel and Matt Kroon were among five Cowboys selected in this week's Major League Baseball Draft. Each has until July 6 either to sign a professional contract or choose to continue his collegiate career.

Heasley and Teel made up two-thirds of OSU's weekend rotation, and Kroon started 57 of the Cowboys' 58 games on the left side of the infield for a team that had its season end Sunday in the final of the DeLand Regional.
