OSU wrestling: Wyatt Sheets' recent surge is helping his case to lock down spot at 157 pounds

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State wrestling coach John Smith will have a couple tough lineup decisions to make as the postseason nears.

Wyatt Sheets is trying to make one of them easier on his coach. The 157-pound sophomore from Stilwell didn’t enter the undefeated Cowboys’ lineup for duals until four weeks ago against West Virginia, and he’s lost once in six matches since.

Sheets hadn’t done anything to force his way into the lineup prior to mid-January, but has elevated himself in the last month.

The 157-pound weight class will be crucial for the Cowboys in the postseason, and it carries a good bit of importance on Saturday when second-ranked OSU visits undefeated and fifth-ranked Missouri for one of the Cowboys’ final duals of the season.
