OSU wrestling: Fix dominates in front of hometown crowd, punches ticket to Big 12 championship match

All the media members were ready to interview him, but Daton Fix was occupied.

Kids were hounding him and wanting autographs after his semifinal victory against Matt Schmitt of West Virginia on Saturday at the first day of the Big 12 tournament. The memorabilia ranged from pieces of paper, to a shirt with a picture of Fix riding Iowa’s Austin DeSanto in their match on Feb. 24.

Fix went 3-0 Saturday at the BOK Center in Tulsa, punching his ticket to the finals at 133 pounds on Sunday night. He also clinched a spot in the NCAA tournament.
