OSU wrestling: Cowboys win, Smith not satisfied

The final buzzer rang throughout Gallagher Iba Arena, signaling the end of No. 4 Oklahoma State’s home-opening dual against Wyoming.

The Cowboys won 27-6, but you couldn’t tell from Coach John Smith’s demeanor after the game.

“I didn’t care for it,” Smith said about his team’s performance. “I thought we started slow and finished slow.”

Smith was especially frustrated with his team’s matches at 165 pounds and 174.

At 165, Chandler Rogers was defeated by Branson Ashworth 4-1. Rogers was rode the majority of the match and struggled on bottom, earning only one escape point.
