Finishing the season with four NCAA All-Americans is an accomplishment for most wrestling programs.
But when you’re the winningest program in the history of the sport, expectations are different.
Coach John Smith said after the NCAA tournament last season he thought the season might be a struggle. For the first time since 2009, OSU didn’t have a wrestler place in the semifinal round of the national tournament
“In the end, we just go back, go to work and move forward,” Smith said in regards to his team’s disappointing season.
The Cowboys have done exactly that and enter the 2018-19 season with high expectations.
