OSU wrestling: Cowboys land nation's top recruit, AJ Ferrari

STILLWATER — AJ Ferrari had his pick of blue blood wrestling programs and he settled on Oklahoma State Wednesday.

The nation’s No. 1 overall recruit in the 2020 class picked the Cowboys over Penn State, Rutgers, Ohio State and Nebraska.

Ferrari, who is likely to wrestle at 197 pounds in college, medaled at the Cadet world championships and won the Fargo national title.

The last two years, he wrestled in New Jersey at Blair Academy and Bergen Catholic, but has returned to his hometown of Allen, Texas, for his senior season of high school.
