Alex Dieringer announced Tuesday morning on The Bader Show that he’s leaving Stillwater for the University of Michigan to train at the Cliff Keen Wrestling Club with Sean Bormet and Sergei Beloglazov.
Dieringer joins the club’s senior-level freestyle roster and plans to compete internationally in the 86kg/189-pound freestyle weight class in the Olympic year.
He said nothing but positive things about his experience at OSU and Stillwater and credited the staff and John Smith for a wonderful experience. He said the move to Michigan “just feels right.”
“I want to thank OSU for everything they’ve ever done for me,” he said.
