AMES, Iowa — Ashley Joens scored 23 points, Kristin Scott and Maggie Espenmiller-McGraw each finished with 18 and the Iowa State women's basketball team defeated Oklahoma State 74-63 Wednesday night at Hilton Coliseum.
OSU trailed for all but 16 seconds. The Cyclones (13-8, 5-5 Big 12) had a six-point advantage as they entered the second quarter before leading 41-30 at halftime.
OSU (12-10, 3-7) started the second half on a 6-0 run to inch closer. Vivian Gray, who led the Cowgirls with 22 points, made a 3-pointer to pull OSU within five points.
The Cyclones quickly recovered and took a 56-45 lead into the fourth quarter.
