Oklahoma State on Monday issued its weekly COVID-19 data update and reported that it has just three total active cases across all of its sports. Two of those three cases are within the football program.
The case number rested at zero upon last week’s update within the football program, though it’s encouraging that the total active cases dropped this week to 3, from 4 last week. Cross-country’s active cases dropped to zero and “all other sports active cases” dropped to one after sitting at three last week.
As morbid as it sounds, the season is a war of attrition not just against common soft-tissue injuries and other physical ailments, but also against COVID as the globe fights a pandemic.
