With a chance to punch their ticket to February’s ITA Indoor National Championships on the line, the Cowgirls and the Cowboys came up short both home and abroad during the ITA Kickoff Weekend.
A Tale of Two Saturdays
As the No. 4 seed Cowboys travelled to North Carolina for the men’s Chapel Hill Regional, the No. 1 seed Cowgirls stayed home to host a women’s regional in Stillwater.
Earlier this week, Cowgirls coach Chris Young described the Ducks as “unfamiliar” since they had never played OSU during Young’s 13-year tenure as head coach, but expected a tough match due to their competitiveness in the Pac-12 last season.
