OSU task force managing athletes' return to campus

STILLWATER — An Oklahoma State task force of medical experts, campus leaders and athletic department officials have been working on a plan to safely return athletes to campus, beginning with the football team.

Though no specific dates have been released by the university, the Big 12 Conference voted last week that football and men’s and women’s basketball players can begin taking part in voluntary workouts beginning June 15.

OSU’s task force is led by Dr. Kayse Shrum, president of the OSU Center for Health Sciences. Shrum has been integral in developing testing capabilities statewide during the coronavirus pandemic.
