The Cowgirls have lost five in a row.
On Sunday, No. 3 OSU dropped the final two games of its three-game series with No. 7 Texas, getting swept in the series. The Cowgirls now sit at 39-8 on the year and 8-4 in conference play.
In the second game of the series, star pitcher Kelly Maxwell held the Longhorns hitless through six innings. And for the offense, the Cowgirls plated two runs, with the first coming from Katelynn Carwile’s RBI single.
As Maxwell was just three outs away from a no-hitter, Texas leadoff hitter Mia Scott got a hit.
