On a Thursday night in Lubbock, Texas, the Oklahoma State Cowgirls came out with intensity — but it was Texas Tech who left John Walker Soccer Complex with a win.
The match opened with OSU goalkeeper Logan Marks immediately on the line, put on the spot in multiple goal kicks in the first few minutes as the Red Raiders pushed onward.
The Cowgirls grinded and settled in, with Sonora De Fini hailing an early shot off target at the eighth minute mark, but it deflected off the crossbar.
Texas Tech struck first in the 26th minute, when Peyton Parsons hurdeled a low shot in the bottom right corner, with help from by Macy Blackburn.
