It turns out Jonathan Heasley's best start for the Oklahoma State baseball team was also his last.
Heasley, a sophomore right-hander, announced Sunday via Twitter that he has signed with the Kansas City Royals after the organization selected him in the 13th round of this week's Major League Baseball Draft. Heasley was eligible for the draft as a sophomore because he is 21 years old.
Such a blessing to have the opportunity to start my professional baseball career in the Royals organization. None of this would have been possible without support from family, friends, teammates and coaches.
