OSU players stick together through coaching change

STILLWATER — Mitchell Solomon woke up Saturday reflecting a bit on Friday's disappointment in the NCAA Tournament, but also flipping forward.

“Not a great mood, but excited to think about next year, get to work on next year,” Solomon said.

The mood would worsen.

Soon a group phone text summoned Solomon and the rest of the Oklahoma State basketball team to an unscheduled meeting at 3 p.m., although again thoughts turned to next season.

“We all figured it was going to be about our offseason, take a couple weeks off and then get back to it,” he said.
