OSU must continue strong defense in Big 12

STILLWATER — Burly Texas tailback D'Onta Foreman blew through the Cowboys defense in the third quarter Saturday, racing to a 62-yard touchdown and continuing the Longhorns' big rushing day.

Well, momentarily, as in just that moment.

Yes, Foreman's cross-country romp added to an overall 329-yard Texas rushing performance. Yet it was also a rare Longhorns highlight in a second half mostly dictated by Oklahoma State's defense.

That touchdown was Texas' only score over the final two quarters. It was the bulk of the Longhorn's 104 second-half rushing total.

After scoring on four of seven full possessions in the first half — and missing a field goal on another — Texas' final seven possessions went like this: punt, interception, touchdown, turnover on downs, punt, punt, end of game.
