Isaac Likekele returned from a summer trip to Greece with a gold medal as his souvenir.
Now that he is back in Stillwater, the surreal feeling lingers.
“It still kind of hasn’t really just hit me yet, like, I’m a gold medalist,” Likekele said. “... It’s rare, so I really just feel blessed to even be on that stage and in front of those people, and once they put that medal on, you’re like, ‘Man, I really did it.’”
The FIBA U19 World Cup experience was a whirlwind for Likekele, an incoming sophomore point guard on the Oklahoma State men’s basketball team.
