OSU men's basketball hires Dana Valentine as new assistant coach

After the recent hiring of Ball State associate head coach Lou Gudino who has 28 years of experience coaching basketball at the collegiate level, Oklahoma State men’s basketball has added a new assistant coach to the staff.

Former St. Bonaventure men’s basketball assistant coach, Dana Valentine, is joining the Cowboys for the 2025-26 season – reported first by Jeff Goodman of Field of 68.

Valentine started his coaching career at Putnam Science Academy, a prep school in Connecticut. In two seasons there, he was a part of back-to-back prep national championships as the team went 38-0 in 2021-22 and 39-3 in 2022-23.
