The Cowboys were looking to start 9-0 for the first time in 18 years, but Grand Canyon wasn’t going to make it easy for them in a tough, hard-fought game through all 40 minutes. Attacking inside, which has quickly proven to be the Cowboys' bread and butter so far this season, once again showed up as the Pokes struggled heavily from deep, shooting only 4-13, but scored 44 of their 84 points in the paint.
