OSU keeps postseason hopes intact with first-round win over Baylor in Big 12 Tournament

Oklahoma State was in a dire situation while trailing 3-1 to Baylor in the sixth inning with its postseason hopes on the line, needing a victory to increase its chances.

The Cowboys found an answer with a sacrifice fly to left field by Colin Brueggemann to shorten their deficit to one. Then, to help their case, the Baylor defense made two critical errors.

The Bears committed a throwing error in the bottom of the inning to tie the game. Then, a fielding error in the seventh sent Drew Culbertson home for the OSU lead.

With the help of relief pitchers Mario Pesca and Gabe Davis, the OSU bullpen saved the team's season as the seventh-seeded Cowboys (28-22,16-12 Big 12) completed the 1-3 comeback for a 4-3 victory over 10th-seeded Baylor (33-22, 13-18 Big 12) in the first round to advance in the Big 12 Tournament.
