OSU lost its fifth player this offseason to the transfer portal on Wednesday as senior forward Tyreek Smith, who led OSU in 2022-23 in field goal percentage at 59.6%, entered the transfer portal, according to multiple reports. Smith joins fellow frontcourt mates Kalib Boone, Woody Newton and Moussa Cisse as players to hit the portal following the season. Avery Anderson, the team’s assist leader and second-leading scorer, is also transferring.
Smith joined OSU in 2021-22 after spending two seasons at Texas Tech primarily as an off-the-bench specialist who provided rim protection and finished lobs around the rim.
