OSU football: Tight end Grayson Boomer didn't feel 'right fit' with Cowboys

STILLWATER — Even when life was going well on the football field, not everything felt right for Grayson Boomer at Oklahoma State.

“I wasn’t really super-comfortable at OSU. I didn’t feel like it was the right fit,” said Boomer, the true freshman tight end from Collinsville who entered the NCAA transfer portal, as first reported by 247Sports.com on Monday.

“It was nothing the coaches did. They were great. I love Coach (Jason McEndoo). We built such a good relationship. But I think this is the best move for me.”

The 6-foot-5, 230-pound Boomer felt positive about his standing with the team in the middle of August, having bonded with McEndoo, who coaches the fullback/tight end position OSU calls the Cowboy back.
