STILLWATER — Redshirt freshman running back Jahmyl Jeter entered the NCAA transfer portal in October, and now has a new home.
Jeter announced on Twitter that he will transfer to Texas State, which is in San Marcos, roughly 50 miles northwest of his hometown of San Antonio.
The 6-foot, 215-pound Jeter redshirted last season and played in three games this year, carrying the ball 11 times for 34 yards against McNeese State.
Unless he receives a waiver from the NCAA, Jeter will have to sit out next season and have two years of eligibility remaining afterward.
