OSU football: Quarterback pressure has keyed defensive resurgence

STILLWATER — A slow start was expected.

Oklahoma State’s defensive line had lost every player who had ever started a game as a Cowboy, and this season was going to be virtually a total rebuild.

While it isn’t a completed project, the house isn’t nearly as shaky as it was in August.

Oklahoma State recorded eight quarterback sacks in its first six games, but has 11 in the last three.

On the defensive side of the ball, nothing has contributed to the Cowboys getting their season back on track more than recent increase in quarterback pressure.
