OSU football: Norman North product John Kolar to graduate, transfer

Oklahoma State redshirt junior quarterback John Kolar, a former four-star prospect out of Norman North, announced Sunday he will graduate and transfer.

Kolar's on-field impact has been minimal in his four years as a Cowboy, playing in one game as a redshirt freshman in 2016 and completing one of his two pass attempts for 8 yards. Listed at 6-foot-6 and 200 pounds, Kolar participated in OSU's senior day festivities last week against West Virginia.

Once viewed as a possible successor to Mason Rudolph, Kolar was OSU's second-highest-rated commit in its 2015 recruiting class, per 247Sports Composite, which had him as the state of Oklahoma's No.
