OSU football: New salary figures indicate $45,000 bump for 2017 coaching budget

STILLWATER — The result of Oklahoma State football staff changes this offseason have increased the coaching budget by at least $45,000, according to salary information obtained by The Oklahoman.

OSU dismissed offensive line coach Greg Adkins while running backs coach Marcus Arroyo accepted a position with coordinator duties at Oregon. As noted in USA Today’s 2016 database, Adkins earned $355,000 and Arroyo $300,000. Employment contracts for their replacements, Josh Henson (OL) and John Wonzniak (RB), were not immediately available, but university spokesman Gary Shutt provided total expected salary figures for both new hires in 2017.
