LAWRENCE, Kan. — Oklahoma State started on the right note in the first quarter before the energy shifted to the Kansas Jayhawks, who never let go of the pedal and defeated the Cowboys 38-21 on Saturday.
The game started with quarterback Zane Flores driving OSU down the field for a 12-yard touchdown to Shamar Rigby, the Cowboys' first offensive touchdown on the road this season.
Both players happened to earn their first-career touchdown in passing and receiving, respectively.
After the Cowboys held a 7-3 lead entering the second quarter, Logan Ward missed a 44-yard field goal and had a 19-yard attempt blocked as time expired, giving OSU a 10-7 deficit at halftime.
