STILLWATER — Logan Carter was standing in line, just inside the gates of Boone Pickens Stadium, waiting to sign in at an Oklahoma State recruiting camp and hoping his talent as a defensive end would catch the eye of a Cowboy coach.

But OSU’s Jason McEndoo, who coaches the tight end/fullback hybrid position group they call Cowboy backs, spotted the 6-foot-4 Carter before he ever got to the sign-in table.
