STILLWATER — OSU linebacker Kevin Henry was on the verge of a breakout season in 2017 when he tore his ACL in early September.
More injuries slowed him last season, and he was sidelined by a concussion early this year.
In October, the fifth-year senior learned that he had been granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA, because of the nearly full season he missed two years ago.
“I called everyone,” Henry said in a video released on the Cowboy football Twitter account. “I let everyone know I got my sixth year, because football doesn’t last forever, so you want to take advantage of every year you can get.
