AMES, Iowa — Oklahoma State safety Kolby Harvell-Peel had no idea just how well his day went.
First, he didn’t know he had six pass breakups. Then, he had no idea it was a single-game record.
“That’s a big-time honor,” Harvell-Peel said.
During the 34-27 upset of No. 23 Iowa State at Jack Trice Stadium on Saturday, the Cowboys’ star safety had a career day as he set the tone for a defense that delivered when it mattered most down the stretch.
He had eight tackles — including one for a loss — and the six pass breakups.
