First-year Oklahoma State defensive coordinator Jim Knowles has battled the ups and downs of trying to stop Big 12 offenses in his first half-season of conference play.
But head coach Mike Gundy sees things going in the right on that side of the ball.
“We've had games where we've played really well,” Gundy said. “There's times when we didn't defend down the field like we would've wanted to. The harsh realism of that is, no matter what we're doing on Saturdays, the players are giving you a picture of how well we're coaching them and how much they understand.
