OSU football has no active COVID-19 cases as opening week arrives: 'Sitting at zero'

STILLWATER — The most critical statistic for Oklahoma State football right now is zero.

Mike Gundy says that’s how many active COVID-19 cases the team had Monday morning when the coach held his weekly Zoom call with the media.

Two rounds of testing remain before the 11th-ranked Cowboys take the field against Tulsa at 11 a.m. Saturday at Boone Pickens Stadium.

To this point in the young football season, several games have been postponed or canceled. Several more teams have played without starters because of COVID-19.

The OSU-Tulsa game was one of those postponements, having originally been scheduled for Sept.
