OSU football: Dru Brown has the road map to a leaving quite the Cowboy quarterback legacy

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A week before a Bedlam football matchup that is likely to have little on the line other than pride, Oklahoma State finds itself with a new quarterback being pushed into action.

Maybe you’ve heard this story before.

Perhaps in 2001.

Or in 2014.

That could ultimately bring some exciting news for Cowboy fans if the 2019 reboot follows the same script.

Fifth-year senior quarterback Dru Brown will make his first start as a Cowboy at 11 a.m. Saturday at West Virginia inside Milan Puskar Stadium, one week after redshirt freshman starter Spencer Sanders suffered a thumb injury that ended his regular season.
