OSU football: Cowboys need the open week, whether they want it or not

LUBBOCK, Texas — Amen Ogbongbemiga was one of the last players out of the Oklahoma State locker room after Saturday’s 45-35 loss to Texas Tech.

After speaking to the media, he trudged up the long ramp in the corner of Jones AT&T Stadium to the waiting team bus.

Maneuvering to hold a box of chicken in his casted right hand, Ogbongbemiga looked like a player in need of a week off.

He sounded like one who wanted to get back to work.

“We’ve got to improve our practice habits,” the junior linebacker said. “We missed tackles (Saturday), and that’s just straight practice.
