OSU football: Chuba Hubbard named top offensive player on AP All-Big 12 team, other Cowboys honored

STILLWATER — For the second time, Oklahoma State running back Chuba Hubbard has been named the top offensive player in the Big 12.

Hubbard received the honor on the Associated Press All-Big 12 team released Friday, with Oklahoma quarterback and Heisman Trophy finalist Jalen Hurts receiving Newcomer of the Year honors.

Baylor claimed the other major awards, with Matt Rhule named Coach of the Year and defensive end James Lynch the Defensive Player of the Year.

Hubbard, who led the nation in rushing with 1,936 yards, was a unanimous selection as a first-team running back, and was joined on the first team by left guard Marcus Keyes and safety Kolby Harvell-Peel.
