STILLWATER — With boycotts and demonstrations by sports teams going on across the country, the Oklahoma State football team chose to cancel Friday’s practice, a source within the athletic department confirmed to The Oklahoman.

Instead, the Cowboys held team meetings to discuss the nation’s racial turmoil, as first reported by GoPokes.com.

Games have been boycotted in the three ongoing major sports leagues as a protest of the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
