OSU Football: C. Michigan Seeking WR Playmakers

Central Michigan enters Thursday’s game against OSU with an accomplished quarterback in Cooper Rush, who threw for 3,157 yards and 27 touchdowns a year ago, while completing 63.6 percent of his passes.

For Rush, this preseason has involved identifying new top targets.

Titus Davis, who hauled in 13 of Rush’s touchdown tosses and led the team with 980 receiving yards a year ago, has moved on to the NFL. The Chippewas also lost tight end Deon Butler, the team’s third-leading receiver.

Junior wideout and starter Jesse Kroll caught 36 passes for 582 yards and four TDs last season, all highs among returning receivers.
