OSU denies Sooner comeback, wins Bedlam series

Relentless rain, teeth-chattering cold and an in-state rival couldn’t stop the Oklahoma State women’s soccer team Friday night.

A second-half defensive lockdown helped OSU lift the Bedlam Series trophy after a 3-1 victory in the rain.

No. 13 OSU broke the scoring deadlock 30 minutes into the first half.

Senior defender Claire Ganzter put the Cowgirls in front. OU goalkeeper Nikki Panas tried to punch away a Kim Rodriguez freekick, but the ball fell right to the waiting head of Ganzter. It was her fourth ever goal for OSU (13-1-3, 6-1-1 Big 12) and her first since 2017.
