OSU Cowgirls dominate New Orleans, open season with 60-point win

It didn’t matter if the ball was on the ground or in the air.

Oklahoma State swarmed to the ball.

The No. 22 Cowgirls threw their bodies on the hardwood, crashed the glass and turned offense into defense in their 109-48 season-opening victory over New Orleans on Monday.

When the Privateers won the opening tip and scored the game’s first basket, OSU made sure that was the only time UNO would hold the lead.

On the ensuing possession, every Cowgirl touched the basketball. Haleigh Timmer had an open look, but made an extra pass to Stailee Heard, who connected on a 3-pointer that set the tone for the game.
