WACO, Texas — As Travis Ford stresses an all-in togetherness as the identity for this Oklahoma State basketball team, there's still a need for clear faces to set the example.
Behold, the unmasked man.
Jeff Newberry reemerged as a versatile and willing man for all roles Saturday, leading the Cowboys to a pull-away rout of TCU in their Big 12 opener. Not coincidentally, it was Newberry's first game in a month without the protective mask he'd worn since violently clashing heads with teammate Tyree Griffin in a Dec. 5 loss to Missouri State, cracking the orbital bone around his left eye in the process.
