OSU basketball: Marcus Watson's attorney files for second continuance

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State freshman basketball player Marcus Watson’s attorney filed a motion for continuance on Monday to delay a court appearance regarding an emergency protective order filed by a female OSU student.

A female OSU student filed a protective order as an alleged victim of rape following an alleged incident at Watson’s on-campus apartment Oct. 19. Watson was suspended from all team activities.

The Payne County District Attorney’s office told The Oklahoman on Nov. 8 that Watson will not face criminal charges. He still likely faces a Title IX investigation through OSU, but that remains confidential.
