OSU basketball: Lindy Waters III pays tribute to Native American heritage through tattoos

STILLWATER — Lindy Waters III started with three letters in dark ink over his heart.

Pao.

“It means next in line,” Waters said about the Native American word etched in tattoo form.

But Waters did not stop there with nods to his heritage.

His chest is now covered with multiple tattoos. His left shoulder down to his forearm is covered with new designs. There are plans to complete the entire sleeve on his left arm.

Waters has established himself as a Native American icon in four years at Oklahoma State. On Saturday, he will play his final regular-season game when the Cowboys play at Texas.
