Another Sutton is entering the coaching field.
Spencer Sutton, the grandson of legendary Oklahoma State coach Eddie Sutton, was named the head boys basketball coach at Trinity Christian High in Lubbock, Texas, on Friday, according to the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.
Spencer is the son of former OSU head coach Sean Sutton, who is now an adviser to Texas Tech coach Chris Beard.
His uncle, Scott, was the longtime head coach at ORU and is now an assistant at OSU.
Spencer graduated from Tulsa’s Holland Hall. He spent two seasons at Oral Roberts University, redshirting as a freshman, before playing one season at Lubbock Christian (Texas) University.
