OSU basketball: Cowboys not discouraged after loss at No. 1 Kansas

LAWRENCE, Kansas — Cam McGriff’s answer was simple and emphatic.

With the improvements Oklahoma State has shown in February, was Monday’s 83-58 loss at Kansas discouraging?

“No,” McGriff said.

He paused to let his response soak in.

“We’re not going to change our identity based on one game,” McGriff said. “That’s what Coach definitely has reflected on us. He’s told us throughout this entire time, ‘Yeah, we didn’t play good basketball today, but we’re more concerned about the process of us becoming a better team in the future.’

“Today, we really did not play like ourselves in a tough environment to win in.
