STILLWATER — Big Country and Eddie Sutton were in the house. So were Randy Rutherford and Chianti Roberts, Terry Collins and Scott Pierce. Gallagher-Iba Arena roared and the Cowboy basketball team bore down and soon enough OSU had a 73-70 victory over a really good team Saturday.
But this was no time tunnel. This was not 1995.
Sutton arrived in a wheelchair. Bryant Reeves arrived with a son on the Cowboy squad. Roberts arrived with a gray beard. Pierce arrived having beaten melanoma. Rutherford, well, Sutton’s great sharpshooter looks about the same as he did a quarter century ago, swishing 3-pointers in Phog Allen Fieldhouse.
