STILLWATER — If he wanted, Oklahoma State coach Mike Boynton could have only walk-ons on the floor during Wednesday's game against Texas Tech.
Dee Mitchell and Cade Wagner, products of the Cowboys' walk-on tryout last month, have been cleared through compliance and will be added to OSU's roster ahead of Wednesday's game, Boynton said Monday. The Cowboys, down to seven available scholarship players, now have five walk-ons, including Luke Major, a freshman from Edmond who has been with the team all season.
Mitchell, a 6-foot-2 freshman guard from Jefferson, Texas, will wear No. 31. He averaged 20 points, six rebounds and 4.
